last night our little darling left us. although he was an elderbun, we definitely weren't ready for it. he was so full of spunk and love and we miss him terribly already. we were with him to the end and i hope he knew how much we loved him.

I'm so sorry for your loss..I know how hard it can be to lose a cherished pet and I'm sure he knew how lucky he was to live in such a loving home.

I don't think you can ever really be ready for something like this. I am so very sorry, but I am happy to hear that you were with him until the very end. How lucky to have your last conscious moments be ones where everyone important is with you. We should all be so lucky.
