lookin' good, right?
yeah, notsomuch. man, this shrug is large. i should have known - "one size fits all" generally doesn't fit me. this wasn't so much a gauge issue (i'm on gauge, 'yall) - this is a "marri has no shoulders and also is a petite thing" issue. *sigh*
i'm thinking about throwing it, wet, into a pillowcase and sticking it in the dryer. dangerous, i know. will i be that ballsy? stay tuned...
***please excuse the crappy mirror photos - b is writing a paper and i can't tear him away!

Love the pattern and yarn you used. Rather than a risky trip through the drier maybe it would make a nice gift for someone a little less petite for next Christmas? I guess that could be awkward - just don't say something like "here's this shrug which I am waaaay to skinny to wear."
Wow that was fast! And despite being big, it's very pretty! I am the queen of can't-leave-well-enough-alone, so that whole pillowcase fixit attempt is right up my alley. But I also am the person who added chai tea mix to my homemade tapioca pudding in an attempt to fix it. So...
That is to bad it doesn't fit because it looks beautiful. I just finished knitting up your Bella mittens and LOVE THEM! Thanks for sharing.
Well, I like the idea of having a Christmas gift under your belt already- but then, curiosity might just lead me to wash it...
Sorry.but you do know someone who has bigger shoulders and is bigger.........:) right? like me! But it';s for you.so what the Hell.........DRYER! Love you
I'm going to be starting my first garment soon and I had a question for you... What brand of circulars do you use? They look different than any I have, and in a good, sturdy way!
My address is...
haha!
You did a great job on it. What a disappointment that it doesn't fit the way you'd like.
Bummer! Be brave! What's the worst thing that could happen?
